The
Size Guide
Everyday luxury begins with a perfect fit. Measure at home in minutes, then use the instant finder to turn your measurement into a ring or bracelet size.
Start With What You Have At Home
Use a ring that already fits, or a strip of paper and a ruler. Both take a minute.
Measure A Ring You Own
- Pick a ring that already fits the intended finger well.
- Lay it flat and measure the inner diameter in millimetres, edge to edge.
- Enter that number into the finder below to get your size.
Measure Your Finger
- Wrap a strip of paper or string snugly around the base of your finger.
- Mark where it meets, then lay it flat against a ruler in millimetres.
- That is your circumference — enter it below.
A standard bank card is 85.6mm long. Use it to calibrate any on-screen ruler or printed sizer before you measure.

Measure Your Wrist
Find your wrist circumference first, then add a little room for comfortable movement.
Use Paper & A Ruler
- Wrap a strip of paper or string around your wrist and mark where it meets.
- Lay it flat against a ruler and read the length in centimetres.
- Enter your wrist circumference below to find your size.
For a comfortable everyday fit, add about 1.5cm to your wrist measurement. For a snug tennis-bracelet fit add roughly 1cm; for a loose, draped feel add 2.5cm.

Getting The Fit Right
Chain Bracelets
Should move freely and slide slightly down the hand. Add 1.5–2cm to your wrist for the classic drape.
Tennis Bracelets
Sit closer to the wrist for security and sparkle. A snug fit of about 1cm extra keeps the diamonds facing up.
Bangles
Are rigid, so they are sized by the widest part of your hand. Measure across your knuckles with your thumb tucked in.
Good To Know
Fingers and wrists are smallest in the morning and in cold weather, and largest at the end of a warm day. Measure in the evening at room temperature for the most reliable everyday fit.
Go with the larger size. A ring or bracelet that sits slightly loose is far more comfortable than one that is too tight, and most pieces can be gently adjusted afterwards.
Most rings and chain bracelets can be adjusted. Full eternity rings and bangles are the exceptions, as diamonds set all the way around make resizing difficult. Write to care@shinewine.co and we will guide you.
Borrow a ring or bracelet they already wear and measure it against our charts, or ask someone close to them. If in doubt choose the larger size — adjusting a piece down is simpler than sizing it up.
Yes. Wide bands of 6mm or more sit more snugly, so it is worth going up a half size. Slim bands under 3mm usually fit true to size.
